Importance is also placed on communication and teamwork, key elements of success. Inquisitiveness is to be applauded and individuals are to be respected.

Tracy is the owner of Niseko Mountain Guides. Japan has been home for over 20 years. Before setting foot in Japan, he studied the language, culture, history, and politics at university. There, no one had bothered to say anything about the natural beauty of the country. After arriving with a Japan Rail Pass in hand his eyes were glued to the windows of the Shinkansen traveling from Tokyo to Matsushima and then back to Kyushu. Since then he has climbed, skied, and trekked all over Japan and never tires of sharing the natural elegance of the rugged landscape with residents and visitors alike.
